Tranquil, comfortable bush getaway. If you're looking for a quiet, peaceful bush getaway in the Bela Bela area, look no further. Granted, we had the place to ourselves, but even so, the chalets are spaced such that you'd be unlikely to even notice other guests (unlike other similar facilities in the vicinity where lodges are packed in so tightly together that you may as well be in the city). The chalet was spotlessly clean on arrival, beautifully appointed, and with everything we needed for our stay. Whilst we didn't need ice and braai wood, it was offered to us on check-in. As it was just the two of us, we also didn't need to use the communal entertainment area, but it was also very obviously clean, well-maintained and ready to go at a moment's notice. Despite experiencing a tragedy the night that we checked in, the staff and owner's family were nonetheless extremely professional, friendly and welcoming, did not let it affect us, and they deserve due recognition for that. It must have been incredibly hard for them to carry on as normal.
