Advertised as B & B, but no breakfast; therefore, the extras are a good idea. Good, but a toaster and microwave would have been a good idea, and a TV a bonus.

Thank you, Denise. We do try to ensure that we are not advertised as a BnB. Some guests would like a TV, others not. We decided to go the no TV route.

Die lekker gebly en lekker geslaap nie. Nee, daar was nie 'n TV, mikro-golf oond nie. Ons moes 'n strykplank en yster van die eienaar aanvra, wat boonop vir ons 'n yster gegee het wat oud was en nie water kon vat nie. Daar was ook nie 'n wasbak in die kombuis nie. Daar was nie 'n lugverkoeler nie. Beddegoed moet vervang word. Die mat moet vervang word. Vir dieselfde prys kon mens iets ver beter in die dorp gekry het.

Mr Booysen's comments are less a review than a personal attack designed to damage my business. His motives I can only guess at. The whole piece is filled with inaccuracies and patent lies. Previous reviews are overwhelmingly positive, with cleanliness and security usually rated 5. Booysen gave us a 1 for both. We take pride in the spotless state of the accommodation. As for security, parking is on the property behind a locked electronic gate and the room has both a strong security gate and a sturdy locked door. His reference to the iron is nonsense. It can be used with or without water and he was told that. There is no washbasin in the kitchen because there is no kitchen. There is a fan standing in the room. He states that bedding and mat must be changed. Why, he does not say. Both are brand new.. The only moments of truth in his diatribe are that we don't have a TV or microwave. We don't claim to have them. What we do have is a spacious and very comfortable bedroom with a large en suite bathroom containing bath and shower. We have a fan, a heater, a kettle and a fridge, a covered patio set in a beautiful garden with views over the surrounding countryside and hosts who are invariably friendly and helpful. On arrival Mr Booysen mentioned his fatigue but that is no excuse for an unfair and thoroughly dishonest criticism of a business of which we are proud.

Peaceful place. Very quiet place outside of Montagu - you need a car. Very friendly and helpful owner. Safe parking behind gate. Would come again.
