Description

Glen Avon Farm is a beautiful and historic seventh-generation farm nestled at the foot of the Boschberg Mountains, just 12 km from Somerset East (KwaNojoli).

Accommodation is available in 2-sleeper, 5-sleeper, and 6-sleeper cottages. The cottages are set in lush surroundings.

It is a paradise for family getaways, where children are encouraged to take part in daily farm activities such as hand-milking, herding sheep, and herding goats.

The dams are stocked with trout and bass for fly fishing. Hiking trails of varying lengths are laid out. For keen birders, there are over 250 species, including several lifers. The farm tracks provide mountain bikers with a wide variety of options, including some technical routes and other less demanding tracks. Several historic buildings, such as the water mill, shearing shed, farm shed, and homesteads, tell a story of tough Scottish forefathers.
