Karoo Inn Guesthouse was established in 2016 and is a quirky and fun guesthouse in Hopetown. Hopetown is a tiny town in the Northern Cape situated on the Orange River and just off the N12 highway, making it an ideal halfway stop between Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Karoo Inn Guesthouse offers refreshing accommodation to guests, be it for a halfway stop, or a few days to explore the surrounding historical sites of the Anglo-Boer war, or even for corporates who may need accommodation for an extended time while conducting business.
Accommodation is offered in 7 units. Only four are advertised on this site. Two rooms have double beds, each with an en-suite bathroom. They include DStv, air-conditioning, tea- and coffee-making facilities. Rooms are equipped with a mini-fridge, a kettle, and a microwave. All linen and towels are provided. The rooms are serviced daily, should you stay longer than one night. The other two rooms offer a double and a single bed.
Safe and secure parking is provided, and there is electric fencing around the premises. There is a communal braai area where you get to experience a Karoo sunset and appreciate the beauty of the clear and star-filled night sky.
Karoo Inn Guesthouse is owner-run and managed by James and Eve, who live on the premises. The guesthouse industry runs deep through their veins, as both sets of parents run guest houses in Hopetown, too.
Meals can be arranged by request. There is no restaurant on the premises, so we make use of a company that delivers to the Guesthouse.
We offer fibre for everyone! During power outages, there is a backup battery that ensures the lights and TV still function.
