Peaceful getaway with heavenly views. Stayed in the Guest House section. Really enjoyed the rural location. Peaceful and quiet with fantastic soul-feeding views. Neat and tidy. A blessed venue.

Quiet but still nice. Had a great stay. The room was very dusty, especially the towels; you could smell the dust and when we shook out the towel, it was just dust. Otherwise, a very nice and beautiful place.

Adequate. The stay was fine; however, the customer service was pitiful. There is no reception desk. Attempts to contact the owner to announce our arrival went unanswered. We got the impression we were intruding on the owner, such was the reception. No mention was made of lights being shut off at 20:00 and only coming on again at 06:00. Good day Max Thank you for your review, we are always open to ways to better our accommodation and service. Please allow me to address your concerns. 1) Reception: We do not have a reception since we are a small guesthouse, not a hotel, and fairly quiet during the off season, all of which do not justify us having a lady sitting at a reception desk full time. We do, however, have friendly staff available to assist with ad hoc check-ins and service, as well as alternate phone numbers listed. 2) Attempt to contact: As mentioned above, we do have alternate phone numbers listed. We only received a missed call on one number, which was busy at the moment of the call. However, my wife then notified me of your missed call and I went out immediately, just in time to meet you outside your room as you parked your vehicle to welcome you to your stay. 3) Regarding your impression of feeling like an "intruder". I am not sure why you felt this way; as mentioned above, I was there to check you in and welcome you to our guesthouse. I do recall you were asking whether we were busy with renovations, to which I replied: "Yes, we are busy building a spa, sauna, gym, and treatment centre," which is, of course, a welcomed upgrade to our guesthouse for the future. The construction site is, however, relatively far away and shielded off from where you stayed. 4) Regarding the electricity: I did mention during check-in that our house rules are shown on the mirror next to your room's entrance door. These do state that we are completely off-grid with solar. We have fortunately not had to load shed before; however, during your stay, we received one of the biggest storms since 1995 in our area. This led to us having no sun for five consecutive days, necessitating the need for load shedding to ensure you were able to get ready for the day in the morning. 5) Regarding the gas: Each room has its own alternate gas stove complete with gas canisters. I did mention during your check-in to call me if you needed anything. I, however, did not receive any call. 6) As mentioned above, the storm was so intense, we are grateful that only a bowl was needed to catch the water and that we could survive it without any major damages. Host was not very helpful. Unit was small, my son had to sleep on a stretcher, not very happy. Host said place was fully booked, we could get another unit, but there was only 1 guest.

Gasheer was nie baie behulpsaam nie. Eenheid was klein, my seun moes op 'n opslaanbed slaap (stretcher), nie baie gelukkig nie. Gasheer gesê plek is vol geboek, ons kan nog 'n eenheid kry, maar daar was slegs 1 gas.
