Afgeleë. Geen onderdakparkering. Baie beperkte internet en selfs selfoonopvangs. Kamers baie bedompig en geen opsie vir 'n trek nie.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and the chance to reply to your concerns listed.
We are located in a farming area just off the N7 and advertise our location as being 20km South of Malmesbury. It is up to the client to decide on suitability of location before booking the accommodation.
Unfortunately, due to the load shedding situation, the internet and cell service performance in our area is out of our control. However you may not have realised when we had no loadshedding, it was due to the fact that we have invested heavily in a solar power system in order to ensure our guests still have electricity during their stays.
All our rooms are equipped with fans which are stored in the main cupboard should you have chosen to use it. Unfortunately February is the hottest month of the year in the Swartland area.
You were offered a continental breakfast basket prior to your arrival which you opted out of.
Under languages on all the booking sites it is listed as English, even on the Afrikaans site that you booked with.
We appreciate all feedback and take your points into account in order to better the services we can offer to guests.

Hi, thank you for the review.
Unfortunately, due to the excessive loadshedding, we are having more Wi-Fi issues and unit failures that are out of our control and could not foresee that coming. Due to our area, it is not an easy fix and this is why we don’t advertise having Wi-Fi.
We had no idea about the teaspoons not being there and this is an oversight that we will keep an eye on in the future. We supply creamer with tea and coffee.
We prefer to put guests closer to the laundry as this is where the geyser is located. This allows for the hot water to reach the closer rooms quicker and prevents water wastage.
It wasn’t the cleaner who knocked on the door, it was the owner who had to attend an appointment and wanted to greet you before leaving.
We appreciate the feedback and will work on these concerns to better the experiences of future guests.

Hello Siya,
We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your stay. We would like to take the opportunity to clear up any misconceptions that you appear to have about 50 Shades of Hay.
We offer accommodation on a small holding, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We are blessed with a lovely peaceful environment and to this end encourage a place to switch off and relax. We, therefore, do not have televisions in our rooms.
While we do not have built-in air conditioning units, we do have mobile fans and heaters in the rooms.
We openly advertise that our continental breakfast consists of cereals, yoghurt, fruit, bread and drinks.
We can only sympathize that you did not enjoy the type of accommodation you were hoping for. We will take your feedback as positive criticism to try to ensure that future guests are more aware of the type of country, peaceful escapism we are offering.

Very friendly, obliging hosts but very basic accommodation without some essentials such as a heater, small refrigerator, television set or WiFi accessibility.

Many thanks for your feedback, it is appreciated and we have taken note of the comments and will be investigating the viability of the various suggestions.
Heaters have now been installed in the rooms due to the inclement weather conditions, and we working with our Wi-Fi provider on how best to extend the Wi-Fi range, so that it reaches the bedrooms and not just the common areas.
We are working hard at improving our establishment continually and appreciate all feedback.
