Orange Cottage @ Simonskloof Mountain Retreat offers a unique off-grid escape, 50 km west of Montagu. Nestled in the serene ecotone of the Succulent Karoo and Mountain Fynbos, this eco-friendly cottage is ideal for couples or small families seeking a tranquil retreat immersed in nature. With breathtaking views, diverse medicinal plants, and abundant wildlife, it is also suitable for yoga and healthy living workshops.
The cottage accommodates 4 guests in 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed, and the second bedroom has 2 single beds. The bathroom is fitted with a solar-heated shower with gas backup. The kitchenette includes a fridge, 2-plate gas hob, and all necessary pots, pans, crockery, and cutlery for self-catering. Wi-Fi is available on request.
The cottage features an indoor fireplace, an outdoor fire pit-braai, and a bathtub under the open sky. Guests can relax on the veranda hammock and enjoy uninterrupted views of the fynbos-covered hills. Secure parking is available next to the cottage, and access is suitable for standard vehicles.
