Lowveld Country Lodge

Unfortunately wouldn't recommend this property to others as I wouldn't want future guests to arrive at a dirty place like we did.

On arrival the property was dirty. We could see that there had been some construction work going on outside (and appeared to be inside too, perhaps tiling/grouting, so assume that part of the dirt is explained by this). We had been told in the morning that the fridge was being repaired and that the mini bar fridges would be moved to the kitchen, this was okay with us, however we arrived with 3 fridges next to each other in the middle of the kitchen, none plugged in, and with what looked like saw dust all over the kitchen floor (assume from the moving of the fridges). The one downstairs room didn't have a sheet, or pillow cases, only a stained mattress protector. There was dust on the floors throughout the house on arrival. Couches look like they haven't been cleaned in a while. Upstairs was cleaner, but the bathroom in the one room's sink and toilet was not initially clean up to our standards. We called the owner who quickly arranged with the manager at Kloppenheim to bring a cleaning crew (+-30min). We were thankful to both that this was acknowledged as a problem and dealt with accordingly. Towels were clean and appeared to be quite new. Apart from the initial cleanliness on arrival which left a bitter taste in our mouth, we had a pleasant stay. The house is beautiful with beautiful views.

Bestuur het uit hulle pad gegaan om vir ons te akkommodeer na die oord met 'n kragprobleem gesit het vir die eerste 24 uur van ons besoek.

Ek dink die huis kort 'n raakvat huishoudster, ons was in 2015 ook by die spesifieke huis en dit is hartseer om te sien dat die geheel 'n bietjie verwaarloos het. Ons sal egter enige tyd weer gaan aangesien dit so mooi plek is en die bestuur uit hul pad gegaan het om kerse, ens. vir ons te reël met die 24 uur-kragonderbreking, asook 'n addisionele nag vir ons te offer teen geen koste.

Beautiful place that just needs thorough cleaning.

The place is beautiful and has a lovely view. It is spacious and great for self-catering as it has everything you could possibly need. It was just really dusty and the pool area very unclean. When we asked for someone to come clean the pool and fix the dishwasher, the manager stopped taking our calls. For that reason, we didn't swim all weekend.

Geensins op standaard vir die prys nie.

Geen ekstra handdoeke, geen skoonmaakdiens nie, geen elektrisiteit vir 'n groot gedeelte van ons verblyf nie, alge in die swembad ens. Baie teleurgesteld.

Beautiful house just a bad experience.

This is a very beautiful house but it was very dirty. It was full of dust and the dishwasher was full of mouldy dishes. The swimming pool was ice-cold and not all the gas products were in working order. But other than that, it is was a very nice weekend.

Dis pragtog. Alles het mens soos 'n luukse vakansie laat voel.

Ek kan nie wag om weer te gaan nie. Dis stunning en mens voel so bederf. Als die uitsig, verblyf en diens.

Pragtige plek met alle geriewe daar.

Ek het die naweek baie geniet, 2 dae is egter te kort. In geheel is dit 'n fantastiese plek met die ongelooflikste uitsig. Dit sal 'n belewenis in die somer wees as alles groen is met die lieflike swembad.

Dit was 'n wonderlike naweek by julle huis.

Daar kort dalk 'n lang spieël in die kamers en vars sepies in die badkamer. Verder lieflik!

'n Naweek om te onthou.

Dit was ongelooflik lekker om in die oggend op te staan en die mis en koue omvou jou op die balkon. Baie dankie Daleen vir `n onvergeetlike naweek by julle.

Valentynsnaweek saam met vriende.

Pragtige ruim huis. Die dekor is ongelooflik. Heelwat om te doen op die landgoed. Hotel se kos was heerlik. Ons sal verseker weer hier bly.
