Very neat and comfortable.

It is a neat and comfortable little place with friendly people on the outskirts of Grotto Bay, with a direct view of Table mountain and the sea is not too far off. We enjoyed our stay and the kids enjoyed running around the house and garden when not watching Paw Patrol on Netflix. The full off-grid electric supply system was a wonderful bonus during loadshedding. But - the wind was gusting through the braai area Saturday evening as we could not roll down the side covers (we could not find the lever and there seemed to be some big tears in the fabric). Be warned though an R1500 breakage deposit is due before arriving and you only learn about this when confirming the booking.

Please note that the side covers are out currently of commission and guests are not permitted to use them. For this reason we do not provide the handle to unroll them. The braai patio is undercover but is effectively an outside area. Additionally we as establishment owners are not in control of the wind or elements.

The security deposit is an industry accepted standard used to cover any breakages incurred during the guest's stay. All guests are made aware of the deposit during the quotation phase and should a guest confirm the booking, the guest is deemed to have both read and accepted the establishment's terms and conditions in their entirety.

The guest inadvertently switched the Wi-Fi and Netflix router off. Loadshedding meant there wasn’t any hot water on the Sunday.

You have a view of a beautiful nature reserve and see the sea!

Voir la Mer, See the sea has a calm and tranquil view of the ocean, lovely, neat as a pin, big house with everything for your needs, ever friendly and helpfull hostess, need to recharge? You find the perfect jewel!

It was an awesome long weekend. Tranquil, comfortable and felt so safe at Voir la Mer.

This was a well spent weekend in a safe and super clean and updated holiday home with all the comforts at hand. I will definitely go back again as the drive from CPT to Grotto was quick. I recommend it to anyone seeking some peace and comfort away from home. Thanks to the owners and the hostess who met up with us to open and show around. You have a good thing going on at Voir la Mer.

Best holiday house!

We had such an amazing time! The house is perfectly designed. The kids had a ball of a time with all the games, play area and the large and lush garden. The adults loved the fireplace and the enclosed deck area. Wine by the fireplace is highly recommended. We will definitely be booking again soon.
