Description
Bateleur Safari Camp offers full-board accommodation, and is located in the world-renowned, Timbavati Private Nature Reserve. This prime wilderness area boasts the Big 5, a large diversity of antelope, over 500 bird species, and a host of reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. Bateleur Safari Camp’s traversing area extends over 10 000 hectares of the reserve.
Accommodation at the eco-friendly Bateleur Safari Camp comprises 7 luxury thatched-roof safari chalets, which can accommodate between 2 to 4 persons; Each spacious chalet features tented walls, to make as small a footprint as possible; these units vary in size, and each chalet is furnished with comfortable beds, quality linen, mosquito nets, bedside tables, solar-powered bedside lamps, wardrobes, adequate storage facilities, and a solar-powered fan for the hot weather. Plug points are provided for charging camera batteries. Each chalet features a private outdoor shower, and a few chalets have an open en-suite bathtub.
Breakfast and other meals are included with a selection of beverages, and are served in the dining area. The main camp area boasts a chemical-free swimming pool and deck overlooking the riverbed and seasonal waterhole, a guest lounge and bar, a small library area, and a central low-walled boma with a fire pit.
Morning and afternoon game drives with sundowners make the perfect ending to each, exciting day. The experienced guides also encourage guests to spend time walking and tracking animals as well, on game trips.
No trees were removed during the building process, allowing the camp to unobtrusively blend into the surroundings.
