Absolutely pleasant! Friendly host who recommended safe and clean beach areas to visit. Clean and beautiful accommodation. Safe environment and conveniently situated near the beach and other attractions to visit.

A place you'll return to. The accommodation is perfect. Wrongly advertised as one bathroom. Instead, each bedroom has its own bathroom. Generously appointed kitchen and in close proximity to the harbour and Bikini Beach. Jaco was super friendly and helpful.

Relaxing and everything was neat (e.g. the whole unit). Just beautiful. Amazing and I would go back to the house again.

Honest review of 113 Reasons. The accommodation itself is lovely, nicely decorated and well set out. The beds were very comfortable, and the showers were excellent. The property was clean and had everything we needed for a short stay. However, unfortunately, it wasn’t the right fit for our family of four. One of the biggest considerations for us was that the owners live on the property, with the accommodation situated upstairs above their home. Because the floors are wooden, we were very conscious of the noise from our children, which made us feel quite nervous about them simply being themselves. For adults travelling without children, or guests who spend most of their days out exploring Cape Town, I think this accommodation would be much better suited. The living area is also very small for a family of four. We found it difficult to comfortably spend time there together, particularly during downtime. For a couple or adults who are mainly using the accommodation as a base while exploring the area, the size would probably be perfectly adequate, but for a family staying for a longer period, it felt too confined. There were also a few practical issues for us. The dustbin is quite small for four people, and there wasn't really anywhere else to dispose of rubbish. I felt uncomfortable leaving rubbish behind when we checked out, although there simply wasn't enough space in the bin. Parking was another challenge. The available parking space is very close to the gate and is quite difficult to manoeuvre into with a larger vehicle. We actually ended up changing to a smaller rental car because our original vehicle was difficult to park there. As international travellers, we also had quite a few suitcases. The stairs leading up to the accommodation are quite steep, so we chose to leave our heavier bags at the bottom entrance rather than carry them up. The owner was kind enough to offer to help us with the luggage, which we appreciated, but we were concerned about how we would manage getting everything back down again when leaving. Ultimately, we decided to leave earlier than planned and book alternative accommodation because there were simply too many aspects that didn't suit our particular needs as a family. I want to stress that this is not a reflection of the property being unpleasant; it is actually a lovely space. I just think the description and photographs may give families the impression that it is more suitable for four people than it actually is. In my opinion, 113 Reasons would be better suited to couples or adults who are using it primarily as a base while exploring Cape Town, rather than a family looking for comfortable accommodation to spend time in. For the right type of traveller, I can definitely see the appeal of this property. For our family, however, it unfortunately wasn't the right fit.
