AfriCamps at Milorho is nestled in the tranquil beauty of Magaliesberg, just 2 hours from Johannesburg. Here guests can experience the magic of glamping amidst the world's fourth-oldest mountain range, surrounded by pristine nature, scenic hiking trails, and breathtaking views.
This camp is home to a variety of natural wildlife for birders, botanists, hikers, and nature enthusiasts. With over 400 hectares of vast beautiful kloofs and awe-inspiring rock pools, guests can experience nature’s freedom through comfortable walks or exciting hiking trails. Hiking the Magaliesberg Mountains offers breathtaking views. Guests will pass through a beautiful gorge, can cool off in the rock pools, and spot waterfalls, Iron Age structures, and abundant flora and fauna.
Glamping Tents:
AfriCamps' classic glamping tents consist of an outdoor wood-fired hot tub, a spacious open-plan lounge area with a couch, a dining area with a solid wooden table and seating for five guests, a fully-equipped kitchen, two bedrooms that comfortably sleep five guests, and a bathroom complete with a hot shower, toilet, and washbasin. Both bedrooms are furnished with an extra-length queen-size bed and have their own private entrance, which allows maximum privacy. One of the bedrooms also contains a single bunk bed. Our tents are equipped with an indoor fireplace and air-conditioning.
Premium Tents: Designed for couples, our spacious premium tent offers a relaxing open-plan space with lush finishes, including a king-size bed, an indoor fireplace, luxurious lounge chairs, and a modern kitchen with a cooking island. Glass doors on two sides of the tent open onto a spacious L-shape deck with a netted hammock, an outdoor wood-fired hot tub, and a braai. The en suite bathroom includes a spacious walk-in shower. Our premium tents are equipped with ceiling fans and air-conditioning.
Additionally, Milorho boasts a stunning sculpture garden and showroom at reception where Live Edge Wood Designs’ wooden pieces are displayed and sold. There is also an inviting swimming pool located near the tents.

Description
Each tent features a fully equipped kitchen, an open-plan living and dining area with a couch, an indoor fireplace, and a solid wooden table with seating for 5.
The tents can each accommodate 5 guests and comprise 2 bedrooms with air-conditioning, each fitted with an extra-length queen-size bed. There is also an extra single bunk bed in the second bedroom. The beds are made up with electric blankets. For maximum privacy, each bedroom has its own private access to an en-suite bathroom featuring a large rain shower, washbasin and flushing toilet.
Each tent has its own private outdoor wood-fired hot tub, perfect for cooling off during hot summers or warming up in winter. Enjoy a braai on the spacious wooden decks and take in the views from the comfortable deck loungers. Open the sliding doors and transform the tent into a large outdoor living area. Unwind and appreciate a festive family breakfast while taking in the serene natural beauty of Magaliesberg.
Travel tip: For longer stays, an additional cooler box will come in very handy to keep food and drinks cold. Ice is available to purchase from the camp.

Dogs are permitted at selected AfriCamps properties by prior arrangement only at a fee of R250 per dog per stay. Only one well-behaved small or medium-sized domestic dog is allowed per tent. Our dog-friendly camps are located in Stanford, Cederberg, Hex Valley and Oudtshoorn.
Dogs may not be left unattended and must be on a leash in shared areas. Owners are responsible for ensuring their dogs do not disturb other guests, wildlife, or property, and guests accept full responsibility and liability for their dog at all times. General rules of behaviour:
In order to make the stay on the farm as pleasant as possible for all guests, we expect all the guests to stick to the general rules of behaviour and appearance based on common sense and basic etiquette. Breaching these regulations can lead to removal from the farm without a refund of the rental sum or a part of it. It is possible that maintenance activities may take place during your stay on the grounds or at the accommodation(s) such activities will not entitle the customer to a refund. No day visitors are permitted on the property unless prior arrangements have been made and approved by AfriCamps.
Noise and music policies:
No music or excessive noise is allowed at any of our camps unless you have booked the entire property to host a function. Please consider your fellow guests and quiet down completely at 22h00. The enjoyment of nature and tranquillity is our first priority. Please notify us if fellow guests are not adhering to our no-noise policy.
