Description
Altyd Somer is one of the original asbestos holiday cottages in Hartenbos. The cottage was self-built in 1969 by the owners’ father and has remained in its original form.
The cottage can accommodate 8 guests and has 2 levels, each with its own entrance. The upper level consists of a lounge and dining area, a kitchen, 2 bedrooms, a bathroom with a shower and basin, and a separate toilet. There is also a balcony with beautiful views over the lagoon.
The lower level consists of 2 bedrooms, a bathroom with a shower, basin, and toilet, as well as a washing machine and a coffee station. Two of the bedrooms are furnished with double beds, and the other 2 bedrooms are furnished with 2 single beds each. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes a stove, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, cutlery, and crockery. The living area features comfortable seating.
Outside, the cottage has a braai area with a shaded seating space.
The cottage is centrally located in Strydomsoord, within walking distance of the sea, Riviera Hotel, the seafront, and the amphitheatre where all activities take place. It is also ideal as a base for year-round events such as KKNK, Buffalo Rally, tug-of-war competitions, and rugby tours.
