Description

Atara Cottage is a quaint old-world cottage situated in the heart of Calitzdorp. This historic little village is nestled between the Cango and Gamka valleys, with a backdrop of mountains. The renowned Route 62 runs through the village.

The 2-bedroom cottage is well-equipped and comfortably furnished. The main bedroom contains a double bed and the second bedroom has 2 single beds. A fifth bed is available and ideal for a child. The main bedroom is equipped with a TV with selected DStv channels. The bathroom is fitted with a shower, toilet and basin, and is shared between the 2 bedrooms.

The cottage has a central air-conditioning unit in the lounge, which circulates through the cottage. The cottage comprises a kitchen, lounge and dining area. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering with a gas stove, oven, microwave, and a fridge, as well as a washing machine for convenience. The dining room seats 6, and the lounge has dainty furniture and original paintings, giving it a distinct Victorian feeling. The house features beautifully restored wooden floors throughout.

The garden is well-maintained with a braai area and concrete furniture to enjoy an evening outside. Large trees provide shade in the summer months; there are even a few fruit trees. There is an undercover entertainment area with a table and 6 chairs, as well as a splash pool for guests to enjoy. A carport is available with space for 2 vehicles.
