Atara Cottage is a quaint, old-world self-catering cottage situated in the heart of Calitzdorp. This historic village lies between the Cango and Gamka valleys, surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery, with the renowned Route 62 running through it.
The cottage offers comfortable accommodation in 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed, while the second bedroom contains 2 single beds. An additional bed is available and is ideal for a child. The bathroom, shared between the two bedrooms, is fitted with a shower, toilet, and basin.
The living area includes a lounge with a TV, Smart Box, and Netflix. A central air-conditioning unit in the lounge circulates throughout the cottage. The open-plan layout consists of a kitchen, lounge, and dining area. The kitchen is well equipped for self-catering with a gas stove, oven, microwave, fridge, and washing machine. The dining area seats 6 guests, and the lounge is furnished with charming pieces and original paintings, creating a distinct Victorian atmosphere. The cottage also features beautifully restored wooden floors throughout.
Outside, guests can enjoy a well-maintained garden with a braai area and concrete outdoor furniture, perfect for relaxed evenings. Large trees provide ample shade during the summer months, and the garden includes a few fruit trees. There is also an undercover entertainment area with a table and seating for 6, as well as a splash pool for guests to enjoy. A carport is available with space for 2 vehicles.
