Description

Avondrust Farm is a beautiful working farm offering guests a memorable farm stay in this breathtaking scenery. Accommodation consists of 3 fully equipped self-catering cottages, namely Môreson House, Môreson Cottage, Ebeneser Cottage and a 6 bedroom Guesthouse with communal facilities.

Môreson House has 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom has a double bed and en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom is a twin room. There is also a spacious bathroom with a shower. The house also comprises a fully equipped kitchen with a bright round table to sit around and enjoy meals. An undercover stoep with a braai area to relax and enjoy the silence and beauty of the Karoo.

Môreson Cottage has 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom has a king-size bed or 2 single beds. The second bedroom is a twin bed. Both rooms share a bathroom. The cottage also comprises an open-plan kitchen and living room area, with an outside braai area.

Môreson has 2 lovely old reservoirs converted into a splash pool and a braai area.

Ebeneser Cottage offers 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom has a double bed and en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom features 2 single beds. There is a quaint kitchen-dining room and a living room. This cottage boasts a fantastically spacious wooden deck with splash pool and a spectacular view of the Swartberg Mountains.

Avondrust Guesthouse comprises of 4 bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms and a kitchenette. One of the rooms is wheelchair friendly. A fully equipped communal kitchen with a dishwasher is available.
A Family Unit which consists of 2 interleading rooms, both en-suite. Outside braai facilities and wood are available. More wood can be provided on request, at an additional charge. There is also a swimming pool. A maximum of 12 guests are allowed as there are 10 beds.

Guests are free to walk on the farm, go hiking in the hills, enjoy the cycle routes in the veld and go bass fishing in the dams. For the more adventurous there is a 20 km road up the mountain, please enquire. Avondrust Farm Stay is situated 50 km from Prince Albert and 7 km from the scenic Meiringspoort. Enjoy various cycle routes in veld and enjoy our scenic mountainous area with various species of buck.
