Barak Farm Stay – Wendy’s Cottage offers a tranquil countryside escape at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains, ideally located along the scenic Route 62 between Montagu and Barrydale. Set on a peaceful farm surrounded by fynbos and mountain views, the cottage provides a cosy retreat.
The cottage can accommodate 5 guests and comprises 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The main bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed, while the second bedroom has 2 single beds. A child-only sleeper couch is available in the living area. The bathroom is fitted with a shower, toilet, and washbasin. Bed linen and bath towels are provided.
The open-plan living area includes a kitchen equipped with a fridge-freezer, gas stove, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, and basic cooking essentials. The lounge features comfortable seating and a cosy indoor fireplace. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available, and loadshedding provisions include solar power.
There is a built-in braai, and guests can enjoy outdoor dining. The farm offers ample outdoor space, a scenic garden, and mountain views, ideal for sunset walks, hiking, cycling, or simply stargazing at night. Secure covered parking is available on site. The property is situated approximately 25 km from Montagu and 30 km from Barrydale, making it an excellent base for exploring the area’s local markets, award-winning restaurants, and warm community atmosphere.
