Calming and beautiful surroundings - a relaxing weekend. My husband and I had a very relaxing stay and that was the purpose of our getaway, to re-energise ourselves. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The unit itself was perfect for two people and we also enjoyed the doggie visits.

Perfect - uninterrupted - quiet. Our stay was exactly what we needed: space and time to be alone as a family and rest.

Had a great, peaceful weekend. I was very pleased with a warm welcome from Gary and his partner. We had a relaxing weekend and I would highly recommend it to friends.

We enjoyed our holiday and rested. We got what we paid for. The building has no windows, only folding glass doors, so it was damp and musty. Not ideal if it's raining as the air quality is poor when the doors are closed. Our only real issue was this, and the place needs some maintenance. Bazley village is quiet and the beach was lovely. Our hosts were friendly and helpful.

Bad mold and damp issues, do not stay here. There are severe mold and damp issues. There is no opening window in the bathroom, and no windows in the flat (only aluminum folding doors). This means that the whole place stays musty; even when we got there and everything was open, it was musty. The cupboards are worn, and you can see damp issues inside, and there is clearly mold all over the ceiling, especially near and in the bathroom and in the main bedroom. This was a big issue, since we have 2 very small kids (under 2), and none of us felt well whilst in the flat. We tried to stick it out hoping it wouldn't be too bad, but after night 2 we simply had to leave for our own health. When the issues were brought up with the hosts (Gary Weber and his partner JL), they ignored us, and we then contacted the website, who offered us a R300 voucher and R570 from the hosts. This was a slap in the face considering we had booked for 7 nights and still had 5 nights' costs paid for. There was no apology for our experience, and no assurance the issues would be looked at or fixed. I do not recommend staying here.

Safe, comfortable, clean and well worth the money. I would just like to say to Gary and JL, the owners of Beechwood, thank you for their friendliness and openness towards us.
