Bergview Haven Guesthouse offers self-catering accommodation in a charming, beautiful, modern country, spacious family vacation home with a lovely large garden, located at the foot of the Central Drakensberg in KwaZulu-Natal, Cathkin Park which is a World Heritage Site.
The property can accommodate 8 guests and comprises 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and features a ceiling fan, a walk-in closet, and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a walk-in shower, toilet, and double washbasins. The second bedroom contains 2 three-quarter beds and air-conditioning, while the third bedroom is furnished with a bunk bed sleeping 2 guests and also includes air-conditioning. These 2 bedrooms share a bathroom fitted with a bath, toilet, and washbasin. The fourth bedroom contains a queen-size bed, a ceiling fan, and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet, and washbasin.
The open-plan living area consists of a lounge, dining area, and kitchen designed for comfortable self-catering stays. The kitchen is equipped with a 4-burner Smeg stove and electric oven, a large fridge-freezer, microwave, electric and gas kettles, toaster, dishwasher, as well as cutlery, crockery, airfryer and cookware. The dining area features a 10-seater dining table and a cosy fireplace, while the lounge is furnished with comfortable seating and a Smart TV with Netflix.
Large doors open from lounge onto a covered entertainment area with a 10 seater table and bench seating for braai, cooking a potjie or curry.
A fire pit to star gaze at night, 2 sun lounges to relax, read a book or snooze and a covered patio to take in the tranquility, rolling hillside and birdsongs of the Central Drakensberg.
WiFi available and parking for 2 vehicles at the roadside front of house.
The guesthouse is located in the heart of the Central Drakensberg, close to the Drakensberg Sun Hotel.A wide variety of restaurants, shops, tourist attractions, vulture hide, birds of prey centre, reptile centre, zip lining, quad bikes, Scootours, Spas, walking trails on and off the estate, hiking, mountain biking trails and Drakensberg Boys Choir School are available nearby. Special arrangements can be made to play golf at Champagne Sports Resort on a Top 20 rated championship golf course.
