Set high on the slopes above the village, 800m walking distance from the beach and the lake below, Boardwalk Lodge Self-catering is a lovely lodge and popular retreat situated in the tranquil seaside village of Wilderness on the famous Garden Route. The lodge’s innovative design, exclusive features provide the ultimate Wilderness experience.
The accommodation comprises lovely self-catering units that can accommodate between 2 to 4 people. Each of the units is furnished with comfortable beds, and offers a full bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, as well as a beautiful lounge area with spectacular views of the ocean and wilderness village below. Each unit also offers a TV with selected DStv channels, as well as Wi-Fi access, and guests have the option to choose a unit with either a gas fireplace or a gas braai, while some of the units are equipped with both.
Blending into the backdrop of beautiful indigenous forests and overlooking the Indian Ocean and surrounding lagoons, the lodge is built on a forested slope with stairs to reach the various units.
The area offers a variety of activities such as horse riding, fishing, bird watching, cycling, paragliding, game drives, game viewing, guided walks, mountain biking, and swimming.
Climbing of stairs will be required to get to the studios or chalets, you must be physically able to do so. Please check each room specifically to see the amount of stairs to climb. The lodge is not wheelchair or disabled friendly.
