We will be back. Location is absolutely superb. I want to return for a few days next time so as to explore the reserve and the area. Reception was warm and helpful.

Beautiful and tranquil. It was magical - we had an amazing time.

Enjoyable. Not cheap but still good value. Our stay was very nice. The accommodation is quite rustic but sufficient and comfortable. We enjoyed the small mountain of oranges that the reserve placed in our cottage, as well as the electric juicer to make fresh orange juice. The pool and jacuzzi were splendid. The view from the stoep was fantastic. We also enjoyed the hiking trails.

Disappointing. As much as Botterboom was clean and tidy and with a lovely pool and Jacuzzi, the unit itself requires some love and attention. The pillows are cheap and lumpy, the glass door leading outside of the bathroom into the garden is smashed. The keys to all the other doors, with the exception of the front door, do not unlock the doors. The beautiful leather couch, as seen in the photo, is completely cracked and peeling. The soap that is on offer in the bathroom is in cheap plastic brown bottles and the soap itself is the cheap and nasty pink soap one finds in a public restroom. Therefore, at R2400 a night, the value for money is not there.

It was epic. It was amazing. The stargazing was epic. A must to see.

We had a wonderful time and will highly recommend it. The spacious rooms, view, swimming pool and hot tub were pure delight. I would have liked a door to the bathrooms, and it may be helpful to keep in mind that the road up to the chalet is probably not suitable for a car with low suspension.
