Buccaneers Beach Lodge, located in Chintsa, 38km outside of East London in the Eastern Cape, offers something for everyone: En-suite and family-friendly accommodation, a stunning campsite nestled in the dune forest, lots of local activities to keep guests busy, great food, and plenty of relaxation. The large property is situated on a lush hillside, overlooking the Chintsa lagoon and bay, with private beach access and a short walk from Chintsa Beach.
Buccaneers Beach Lodge provides a range of accommodation options, including en-suite rooms, family cottages, a few a stunning campsite, catering to all types of travelers and budgets.
The lodge features a swimming pool, volleyball court, ping-pong table, yoga and massage room, free canoes for the lagoon, a pool table, great bar, and wonderful 3 meals a day restaurant, and art studios and stunning views from most decks and rooms.
There are plenty of relaxation spaces in the beautiful tropical gardens, communal areas, and a beautiful dam with birdlife. Free Wi-Fi is available in our communal spaces and selected rooms, and secure parking with cameras and a night watchman is provided. The weather is fine most times of the year, the East London airport is 45 minutes away.
Chintsa has a multitude of activities to offer - a golf course and game reserve next to Buccaneers, a local brewery, restaurants and galleries , beach horse riding, a couple of spas, surfing, paddling a-up our lagoon, craft and art workshops or just beaching it, on one of the nicest beaches in SA.
Guests can choose to self-cater, but most are drawn to the lodge’s varied and fresh ale carte breakfasts and lunches with dinner offering a nightly varied buffet menu including Indian, Mexican, local, and Italian dishes.
Lees Pub is a lovely, warm space with a stunning ocean view, a tv to watch the big games, and great Wi-Fi.
The restaurant and bar offers a lively atmosphere with a good selection of wine, a varied menu and the perfect space to relax, enjoy the sunset, or make new friends.w
After a restful night’s sleep, guests can enjoy a hearty or healthy breakfast in the dining room with stunning bay views, and a beach walk or swim on one of South Africa's best beaches.
We have cosy family styled cottages that offer basic kitchenettes and either 2 or 3 bedrooms.
Wonderful sea view suites scattered in the indigenous bush, running up the hillside, overlooking the bay, and our absolutely stunning natural campsite tucked into the dune forest, with a communal boma and plug point, and a lot of shade and flat camping space.
Buccaneers has been a firm favourite amongst locals and internationals for the past 30 years and is managed and owned by the Price family, who pride themselves on offering the best holidays on the East Coast.
