Buffalo Tented Camps is an exclusive self-catering safari retreat located within the Buffalo Core Area of Bwabwata National Park in Namibia’s Zambezi Region. Guests are perfectly positioned between the Okavango and Kwando Rivers, with exceptional game viewing, abundant birdlife, and frequent sightings of elephants, buffalo, and other iconic African wildlife. The camp forms part of the Buffalo Private Collection and provides a rare opportunity to experience a protected, unfenced conservation environment where wildlife moves freely through the landscape.
This property comprises 8 self-catering tented suites, each accommodating up to 2 guests. Each tent features a sleeping area furnished with either a king-size bed or twin beds that are convertible on request, along with a private en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower and toilet. Linen and bath towels are provided, ensuring a comfortable stay while maintaining an authentic bush experience.
Each unit features a fully equipped open-deck kitchenette that includes a fridge-freezer, gas hob, and double sink, allowing guests to prepare their own meals with ease. A dedicated dining and seating area is provided within each tent for relaxed self-catering convenience. The design is simple and functional, ensuring the surrounding wilderness remains the focal point of the experience.
Outdoor living is a highlight of the camp, with each tent offering a private deck, boma-style fire pit, and braai facilities for evenings under the African sky. Secure parking is available on-site. Guests can enjoy self-drive game viewing, birdwatching, river excursions, and guided safari activities throughout Bwabwata National Park, including visits to Popa Falls and nearby conservancies, making this an exceptional base for an immersive wilderness escape.
