Excellent hospitality, clean rooms, peaceful atmosphere and friendly service. We had a wonderful stay. The rooms were clean, tidy and very comfortable, and everything was beautifully maintained. The hospitality of the owners and staff was exceptional – friendly, helpful and always willing to help. The peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect place to relax, and the location is ideal. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for quality accommodation and excellent service. Thank you so much for an unforgettable experience – we look forward to coming back again!

Clean, comfortable and spacious. We cannot wait to return to this lovely place. Karoo hospitality at its best! Our hostess was fantastic. We enjoyed every minute in these beautiful surroundings, game viewing, a sparkling pool and lovely braai area.

Unique and welcoming. From the word go we were welcomed with open arms and made to feel like long lost friends. The hosts make sure that you have everything you need. The grounds are beautiful and the indoor braai created a cosy vibe. If you want to feel at peace, surrounded by vast lands and friendly people, I would recommend passing Buffelshoek Dirosie Lodge. Perfect for any number of people wanting to experience something unique, whether it's for a hunting expedition or just to escape the bustle of the city.

My stay was not enjoyable, in fact awful. My stay was not enjoyable. I was feeling unsafe as I was, during the night, completely cut off from the outside world and unable to contact anybody. That was because in the room there is no internet access and no cell phone signal. Internet was only available in the road, outside the room. The room was sparsely furnished; there was no microwave and no fridge (although in the the website information, both should have been provided). Meals like breakfast and dinner were not available, although in the the website information both should have been available by arrangement. This is not a self-catering establishment as being advertised by the website. The night I was there, there was an area-wide power failure. In this "five-star" lodge, there was no provision for standby power, not even for the internet or emergency lights. There were candles and a paraffin lamp without paraffin. So, for most of the night, there was no internet available, not even outside on the road. At R800 per night, my stay was very bad value for money. This is certainly not a "luxury game lodge" as it is made out to be.

Awesome! Buffelshoek was amazing. The reception and service was excellent. Pieter upgraded us and it was stunning! The stars in the evening are breathtaking. It's so beautiful there. Will definitely go again.

Buffelshoek was amazing. Dis so mooi daar. Sal definitief weer gaan.

Beautiful nature and view! We really enjoyed the nature and view and had a great time. The rooms and bathroom are nice and spacious. Beds and bedding are of good quality. A recommendation would be to arrange storage space for your own groceries in the kitchen, as well as hooks for towels. We had problems with the TV, but Pieter and his team helped immediately and really made a lot of effort. Pieter is a very good host.

Pieter is 'n baie goeie gasheer.
