Description

Bushsong Eco Camp is a newly built eco retreat that opened in December 2025, created and hosted by the current owners, who have a lifetime of experience welcoming guests across Africa.

Set on a 100-hectare private conservancy bordering the iSimangaliso National Park, the camp offers a peaceful nature escape surrounded by sand forest, wildlife, and exceptional birdlife.

Our pet-friendly chalets are fully fenced and positioned at least 100 metres apart, ensuring privacy and uninterrupted time with family or loved ones. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash while exploring the conservancy.

The bush camp, not chalets, operates on an exclusive-use basis, meaning no mixed bookings. Your group enjoys full access to the communal kitchen, braai area, showers, and bathrooms in complete privacy.

While there is no dangerous game, guests may encounter zebra, antelope, porcupines, tortoises, and a wide variety of birds. The conservancy is a bird lover’s paradise, with hundreds of species, including rare sightings such as the Green Malkoha and Pink & Green Twinspots.

Enjoy fire-lit evenings under the stars with the sounds of the sand forest around you. Complimentary firewood is provided for the first night, with additional wood available for sale.
