Description

Bushbaby Haven is situated in Marloth Park, and offers basic but comfortable self-catering accommodation in a rustic cottage nestled in the tree tops. This thatched cottage offers canopy views, and if you are lucky you might even find a giraffe popping in to say hello while you enjoy a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine.

The cottage comprises a bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom with a bath and a shower, and an open-plan kitchenette and living room. The kitchenette is equipped with a fridge, a kettle, a toaster, a mini-stove, and cooking utensils. Sit outside on the deck with your favourite book, or take out the binoculars and admire the bird life. The cottage is raised from the ground, so there are stairs which may not be suitable for all guests. This is a tree-top cottage and is not child-proof.

There is a small portable braai that must not be used on the wooden deck or near the wooden structure (2m away). It is small, so can be taken down the stairs to have a braai at the ground level and there are portable plastic chairs and a table that can make things comfortable around the braai. Please bring your own wood / charcoal, fire-starters and matches.

We do not provide personal toiletries or bathing soap. We have found that the majority of guests prefer personal preference. We do provide dish-washing liquid :-)!

The entrance is part of the same ERF on 3488 Zebra, BUT, the parking and entrance for Bushbaby Haven is along 3488 Steenbok Street where you will find your own parking next to the tree-top cottage.

Pets are not permitted, as Marloth Park is a "live-in" game reserve. This is not a zoo and all animals are wild and hand-feeding is strictly forbidden (no matter the doe-eyed looks you may get. Yes, I know it is hard not to, but it is for the animals safety as well as yours).

The cottage is not equipped with a TV or Wi-Fi, allowing guests to enjoy a break from technology. There are restaurants and shops situated within the park who have Internet available. The cottage is ideal for those looking for a romantic getaway.
