Perfect. Incredible, our own little "forest" on our doorstep, photos can't capture the beauty, our host was discreet, he loves animals and is committed to recycling and environmental friendliness. The place was spotless, cozy, 2 wonderful lounge areas, top quality linens and towels, walking distance to literally everything, I can't wait for our next visit!

Really excellent place to stay before heading up the Boesmanskloof trail. Clean and efficient in a beautiful location. Easy to access, with lots of information about the place and the town on offer.

Wonderful! A wonderful place to stay in Greyton. Great location, walking distance to everything, with lots of space and views of the garden and mountains. The cottage has everything you need. Great communication from the host.

Location awesome, clean, safe and private. Clean, convenient and safe. Minimal contact with the owner, which is what I prefer. But Wayne is always available when needed. Privacy is great. Very cold at night, but there is a heater and lots of blankets. The birds are a bonus. Real value for money. I always try and stay here when in Greyton.

Convenient, cosy and well priced. What a great find, so conveniently located. Wayne very kindly amended my booking when I chose the wrong dates by mistake and had already paid my deposit. The unit is very cute, has its own driveway and gate around the corner from the main house and a completely private garden. The kitchen has all the basics including a little bottle of milk in the fridge and a few biscuits in case you are starving when you arrive! The shower was super hot, which was great as it was cold, and there were 2 heaters as well as 2 hot water bottles and plenty of blankets. Lovely outside patio with the canaries (and other birds) that the place is named after coming to feed within a few metres of you. Great value for money and an all-round excellent option. Also within close walking distance of the Saturday market (it is at the end of the road).

Clean, quiet, close to everything. It was very peaceful with a view of the mountains, chirping of various types of birds coming to drink water. Nice fire and reading a book, a peaceful walk up to town.

The stay was absolutely fantastic. Cottage is clean and tidy. The visit to Canary Cottage is probably one of the best places I have ever been to in the Western Cape. We were warmly welcomed, the place is neat, safe and you can enjoy your privacy. Everything we requested in advance was provided. What surprised us was that in the morning you are greeted by birds that are naturally present in the Greyton area. Truly a bird paradise. Thank you Wayne.
