Description
Welcome to Cecil John Rhodes Guest House
Step back in time and experience the charm and character of Cecil John Rhodes Guest House, a historic property dating back to 1895, situated in the established and peaceful suburb of Belgravia in central Kimberley.
Our guest house offers a unique blend of old-world charm, comfortable accommodation and modern convenience, making it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travellers. Whether you are visiting Kimberley for work, a medical appointment, a family or school visit, university-related travel, or to explore the fascinating history of the Diamond City, our guest house provides a welcoming home-away-from-home.
Accommodation comprises 8 individually and elegantly decorated rooms, each with a private en-suite bathroom fitted with either a bath or shower. Guests can enjoy a peaceful atmosphere, friendly personal service and the convenience of secure, complimentary private parking, with one designated carport per room. Please note that carport height restrictions apply, and buses, coaches and trailers cannot be accommodated.
Our central location places guests within easy reach of Kimberley's historic homes, monuments and diamond-mining heritage, as well as the city centre, shopping centres, art galleries, theatre, restaurants and other attractions. Medical travellers and families will appreciate our proximity to Kimberley Provincial Hospital, Kimmed Private Hospital, Mediclinic Kimberley and Kimberley Eye Care Centre. We are also conveniently located near Sol Plaatje University and several established schools, while business travellers have easy access to Kimberley's courts and legal offices.
Start your day with a freshly prepared breakfast, served in our dining room or, weather permitting, in the shady garden beneath our much-loved mulberry tree — a peaceful spot to relax and enjoy the Kimberley sunshine.
For those wanting to explore, nearby attractions include the Big Hole and Kimberley Mine Museum, William Humphreys Art Gallery, Sol Plaatje House Museum and McGregor Museum, with a variety of restaurants, cafés and shops also within easy reach.
At Cecil John Rhodes Guest House, we invite you to experience the heritage and elegance of yesteryear combined with the comfort and personal hospitality of today. It is a tranquil setting for uninterrupted work, a relaxing base for exploring Kimberley, or simply a comfortable place to unwind after a busy day.
We look forward to welcoming you and making your stay in Kimberley a memorable one.
