From the end of November 2024 until sometime in February 2025, the wheels fell off. Our managers had a family problem in the Eastern Cape and had to spend six weeks of our busiest time away - we tried to fill the gap but failed. For this, we sincerely apologise.
There were also some long-term stays who pay very little and in some cases nothing who also stirred the pot.
We closed our website while we sorted out various issues, and we have reduced the number of units available.
We have now reopened. We offer basic, rustic accommodation in a quiet and peaceful atmosphere at very reasonable prices. It is not top-of-the-line accommodation, but we do try to keep it clean and comfortable. We now also have security on site, but safety has never been a big problem.
We say in each unit, “If you leave something out overnight, it will most likely be there tomorrow morning, but if you do this every night, then one day it will be gone.”
We are truly sorry for the poor experience that some, but not all, of our guests experienced over this period.
