A surprisingly pleasant experience overall. The photographs on the website depicting Clarendon Guesthouse were true and accurate. Loved the tiles, especially in the bathroom, from floor to ceiling. Lovely hot water flowed from a large square shower head. The shower cubicle is spacious. The remainder of the bathroom, though compact, was fantastic. Absolutely no complaints in that department. The bedroom had more than enough storage. A nice large TV with so many choices, including Netflix, YouTube and more. The bed was comfortable with an electric underblanket – a real game changer. The pillows were comfortable and cosy. Great linen and a warm, comfortable, fluffy duvet. There was an additional blanket in the cupboard, which we never used. The kitchen and dining area did not disappoint either. It was spacious, with a cute dining table and great, comfortable black-and-chrome bar stools. A two-plate electric hob, large microwave, glass cordless kettle, ample-sized fridge/freezer and stainless steel sink rounded off a minimalistic yet stylish kitchen and dining area. All the fittings throughout were modern and functional. Loved all the aluminium doors and windows. Blinds on all the windows ensured privacy, as did the frosted glass doors throughout. Loved the recessed lighting throughout. Wi-Fi was a bonus. The fan and light fitting above the bed were unique. I had never seen anything like that before. Security is excellent. Overall, it is a modern, stylish, comfortable, clean and sparkling-fresh space. A big plus was the safe and secure off-street parking. The hostess was very friendly and accommodating, despite the unusual hours that we unfortunately had to adhere to. We've already booked our next stay.
