We tried staying at the Dam huisie before but our travel plans changed and we had to cancel. It was with pure fluke that we were able to book again and wow, wow, wow! This place is absolutely exceptional. The house is very tastefully decorated and the mattress was very comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked with pretty much anything you possibly could need for an overnight. The kol kol was such a wonderful addition, especially in the afternoon when the wind picks up. (The wind wound down later.) Our Lab puppy thoroughly enjoyed himself in and out of the house and the fenced garden. This space and its surroundings are so peaceful. This will be our stopover between Oudtshoorn and Cape Town in the future. (Also just to mention, parking is behind a gated fence so the car was easily accessible and safe).
