Description
De Kamp Guest Farm is a working sheep farm situated on the edge of Namaqualand, approximately 15 km from Vanrhynsdorp along the R27. Access to the property is via a 3.4 km farm road leading to the main farmhouse. The guest farm is an ideal overnight stop for travellers en route to Namibia or the Kgalagadi, and a popular destination during the annual Namaqualand flower season.
Accommodation is offered in 2 private self-catering units adjoining the main farmhouse. Tjienkerientjee is an open-plan unit that accommodates 2 guests and is furnished with a double bed. Vinkel en Koljander accommodates between 2 and 4 guests and features an open-plan sleeping area with a double bed, as well as a separate bedroom containing 2 single beds. Each unit has a private bathroom, while the second bedroom in Vinkel en Koljander is serviced by an optional outdoor bathroom.
Both units feature well-equipped kitchenettes with the essentials for self-catering, dining areas, and coffee stations where guests can enjoy complimentary homemade rusks. Additional amenities include free Wi-Fi, linen, bath towels, fans, and a TV with DStv.
Guests have access to private braai facilities and outdoor seating areas, while Tjienkerientjee also offers an outdoor scullery. Firewood is available on site.
The surrounding area is renowned for its spectacular spring wildflowers, making De Kamp Guest Farm an excellent base from which to explore Namaqualand while enjoying the tranquillity of a working farm.
