Description
De Kamp Gasteplaas is a working sheep farm located on the edge of Namaqualand near Vanrhynsdorp, approximately 15 km along the R27 route. The property serves as a convenient overnight stop for travellers en route to Namibia and the Kgalagadi, with access via a 3.4 km farm road leading to the main homestead.
The property offers 2 self-catering units attached to the main farmhouse. Tjienkerientjee accommodates 2 guests and comprises a bedroom furnished with a double bed, a wall-mounted TV with DStv, a fan, and storage space, as well as a separate bathroom fitted with a shower, washbasin, and toilet.
Vinkel en Koljander accommodates 2 to 4 guests and features an open-plan layout with a double bed and additional sleeping space in the living area, as well as an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, shower, washbasin, and toilet.
Both units are equipped with kitchenettes that include essential appliances, dining tables suitable for 2 guests, and coffee stations with homemade rusks. Linen, bath towels, and Wi-Fi are provided.
Guests have access to braai facilities, including a private braai area for Vinkel en Koljander and a shared braai area for Tjienkerientjee, as well as washing-up facilities. Firewood is available on site.
The surrounding area is known for seasonal wildflower displays and offers opportunities to experience farm life and explore the natural landscapes of Namaqualand within close proximity.
