Had a nice visit in the beautiful Great Karoo and enjoyed the tranquility. We had a lovely stay at De Kom Plaas in an old, characterful farm house that is very comfortably furnished. De Kom Plaas is a working farm and we really enjoyed the farm animals and activities. The farm is clean, neat and safe, and the host made us feel at home. Although it was cold, the large open wood stove kept the house wonderfully warm and comfortable. The short, easy walk to the river with waterfall was a nice outing in the open Karoo landscape. The gravel road to the farm is in good condition and a comfortable drive with a regular car. We will definitely visit De Kom Plaas again in the coming summer to enjoy the starry sky again.

Awesome accommodation, awesome hosts. This was exactly what we wanted, quiet farm, cosy accommodation with fireplace. Will definitely be back when it's warmer to light the outside firepit under the stars. Hosts were very helpful with some car troubles we picked up.
