Pleasant. We had a very nice stay. The house has everything you need to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The animals and night owls that come to visit every evening are truly precious. The house is about 100 m from the river, which makes it absolutely special. Will book there again.

Peaceful and calm in the forest. As always, it's lovely in Marloth. The place is well located and close to the river with the animals that regularly came to visit. The bedding was clean and tidy and the rooms lovely big and comfortable with the aircons that saved us. There is definitely work to be done (such as curtains with water damage marks, shower that started to leak, door that struggles to close, wooden floor with boards that are cracked, door handle that fell off the first time it was opened, etc.) on the house. The outside patio, table and braai were very dirty and we had to clean baboon droppings (which were already a few days old). I would recommend that even though the house was cleaned after the previous people left, to just do an inspection on the day itself to ensure guests don't have to start cleaning on arrival before they have even properly unpacked. We found dirty plates with the previous people's braai meat pieces and old things in the fridge. Furthermore, they should probably mention that bath towels are not included as usual, otherwise you will struggle until you can get to Komatipoort. For guests who are going for 2 weeks, there is no washing machine, dishwasher or lady who comes in to help out. The biggest problem was the tiles on the porch which are slippery when it gets wet, e.g. when you climb in and out of the splash pool or when it rains hard, the porch gets wet and you slip terribly. Just bring towels for that too and know that you will constantly have to dry the porch.

The animals that came to visit us were a plus. The place has potential. Needs some attention to maintenance. The ants carried us away. There is an ant infestation! There were ants in our bed, on the sofas, in the showers.

Visiting was very nice with all the wildlife that came to visit. Accommodation was very nice, clean and comfortable.

Very nice woodland break. Need a mat in bathroom 2 and more drying towels.

Very friendly reception, wonderfully quiet with many animals. We struggled the first 2 days with a power problem and Trish, our hostess, went out of her way to get the problem resolved - thank you very much. Just note that there are no towels in the bathrooms.
