It is unfortunate to hear that this is the perception. I spoke twice during the guest's stay with him to hear if everything was fine and not once did he mention that he had any concerns and stated that they enjoyed their stay upon checkout. He made a booking for 1 but had company throughout his stay. Yes, the lawn was not mowed and the outside areas needed attention due to the garden services not showing up because of bad weather. In South Africa, we do have great challenges with electricity and we at Doedoe Plekkie try to do our part in conserving this resource. We therefore don't waste by having too many lights unnecessarily burning outside throughout the night. It works on a timer during peak times, but if guests do require more light, they are welcome to put all the extra lights on or request for us to put them on. Our guests' needs are important to us and that is why we are always available for requests, concerns and suggestions and resolve any issues swiftly to ensure a safe, comfortable and enjoyable stay. Unfortunately, if guests do not notify us of any issues and even when asked, say they enjoy their stay, there is not much more that we can do.
