Needs some repairs. Not a comfortable stay. Bedding was not made when we arrived. There was a lack of cups and cutlery, but it was provided for when asked. One outside room door did not lock, which was a safety concern. There were a lot of mosquitoes in the rooms, which made sleeping very uncomfortable; we had to buy many gadgets and sprays to get some sleep. Shower pressure in one room was not good at all. The host stayed above us; the main outside seating area was below a wooden deck. When sitting under the deck, lots of sand was falling down into our drinks and food. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. The location was nice, within walking distance to the beach.

Elands Bay Beach Cottage
Thank you so much for the review. It helps us to improve our place on the beach. However, there are some points I need to rectify. 1. The clients arrived 30 minutes before our arrival time. 2. There were 7 clients instead of 6. Our place is ideal for 4 adults plus 2 kids. 3. All bedding and cutlery were provided. 4. All the doors lock. I did explain to our clients how this works, and it works 100 percent. 5. I do stay upstairs; however, there is no way sand can rain down as we cover the wooden deck. 6. I warned the clients about the mosquitoes, which are unfortunately around. 7. We provide quality service and have been in tourism for 38 years, mainly dealing with German clients. Have a happy day and visit us on the beach to surf, relax, or just enjoy the West Coast. By the way, we now provide free WiFi and safe parking inside the property.
