Elandsdans is situated in the Klein Karoo, approximately 11 km from Route 62 between Oudtshoorn and Calitzdorp. Located about 16 km from Oudtshoorn, this peaceful farm setting offers a scenic escape surrounded by the natural beauty of the Karoo.
Bokmakierie Huis comprises 2 self-catering units designed for comfort and flexibility. Each unit features a bedroom furnished with 2 single beds that can be converted into a queen-size bed. The first unit has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, shower, toilet, and double washbasin, while the second unit has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet, and washbasin. One living area includes a sleeper couch suitable for 2 children, while the other has a single bed suitable for 1 child.
Each unit offers a comfortable seating area and a fully equipped kitchen fitted with either a gas stove or electric stove, an oven, kettle, fridge-freezer, crockery, cutlery, and cooking utensils. The larger unit also features a dining table with seating for 4 guests. Both units open onto a shared patio with outdoor furniture and braai facilities, creating a relaxed space for outdoor dining and socialising. Please note that if only 2 guests book the property, the second unit will remain closed.
A standout feature is the private covered plunge pool, tucked away amongst dense spekboom vegetation, offering a cool and secluded retreat on warm Karoo days. Additional amenities include free WiFi, secure parking, and private braai areas.
Guests can explore hiking and mountain biking trails on the property and may encounter wildlife such as eland, kudu, springbok, and nyala. The area is also ideal for birdwatching, with a variety of waterbirds visible from a hidden bird hide, making Elandsdans an ideal destination for nature lovers and those seeking tranquillity.
