Elandsdans is situated in the Klein Karoo, approximately 11 km from the Route 62 between Oudtshoorn and Calitzdorp. Located about 16 km from Oudtshoorn, this peaceful farm setting offers a scenic escape surrounded by the natural beauty of the Karoo.
Bokmakierie House is divided into two self-catering units, each designed for comfort and flexibility. Both units feature a bedroom with two single beds that can be converted into a queen-size bed. The first unit includes an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, shower, toilet, and double basin, while the second unit has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet, and basin. An additional outdoor bathroom with a shower, toilet, and basin adds extra convenience. One living area includes a sleeper couch suitable for two children, while the other has a single bed for a child.
Each unit offers a comfortable seating area and a fully equipped kitchen with a stove or gas stove, oven, kettle, fridge-freezer, crockery, cutlery, and cooking utensils. The larger unit also features a dining table for four. Both units open onto a shared patio with outdoor furniture and braai (barbecue) facilities, creating a relaxed space for outdoor dining and socialising.
A standout feature is the private, covered plunge pool, tucked away in dense spekboom bush, offering a cool and secluded retreat on warm Karoo days. Additional amenities include Wi-Fi, secure parking, and private braai areas.
Guests can explore hiking and mountain biking trails on the property, with frequent sightings of wildlife such as eland, kudu, springbok, and nyala. The area is also well-suited to birdwatching, with a variety of waterbirds visible from a hidden bird hide, making Elandsdans an ideal destination for nature lovers and those seeking tranquillity.
