Old worldly and well cared for and comfortable. The owners were very considerate and moved us to their other unit which was warmer, in the winter cold. It was a gem, with old world and great restoration of an old farmhouse. It was truly something to enjoy. We arrived late, and it was effortless to find the unit and make ourselves at home. It was a cold night, would have appreciated just an extra blanket, but none the less it was a good experience for an overnight stay.

Mixture of good and bad. In two about the place. The hostess was very friendly and even opened the big doors before our arrival to ensure that the place got some air. Very neat inside and clean (except for the resident gecko who had a little bit of a miss here and there, but it didn't bother us). Unfortunately, the outside yard (well fenced), is not at all to the same standard as the inside. It's been a long time since I've encountered so many thorns and there is no mat that you can wipe off your feet outside, with the result that you step on the thorns everywhere in the house. The poor dog couldn't walk outside, because with every step every paw is full of thorns. Not a single potted plant in sight and although I understand that gardening in that heat can be difficult, a small succulent or two would liven up the place. A little construction debris hasn't been picked up in the yard either. When we arrived, we wanted to fill Woof's water bowl, but the water was boiling hot, because the pipes are baking in the sun outside all day. Luckily we brought water. The braai and grill had seen better days and I'm not even talking about the kitchen sponge and dishcloth. If the green is already off the kitchen sponge, then you know it was long time for a new one! The bed was very comfortable. It's a shame that places are such a mix of good and bad.

Pit stop pleasure. Lovely! The perfect pit stop for a long drive north - conveniently just off the main road, next to a small river. The host was very helpful, thoughtful and friendly - easy and quick communication.
