Nestled along the tranquil banks of Klein River Lagoon, just outside of Hermanus, Fish Eagle Cottage beckons with its charming allure, offering a serene and comfortable retreat for families or groups of friends.
Accommodating up to 6 guests, this delightful off-grid cottage boasts 3 inviting bedrooms. The main bedroom features a cosy double bed, while the other 2 rooms offer two single beds each. Guests share a guest's toilet and a separate bathroom fitted with a shower. There is also an outdoor shower with warm water.
The open-plan living area features comfortable seating, a dining table, kitchen and fireplace. The kitchen is well equipped with a fridge-freezer, gas stove and coffee and tea-making facilities. Step outside onto the covered verandah, where outdoor dining and braai facilities await, offering views of the garden and river. Wood is provided for the first night, more can also be ordered from the manager's office at request.
Guests can also relax on the sunrise deck, soaking in the beauty of the natural surroundings. Secure on-site parking adds to the convenience of the stay.
Fish Eagle Cottage is an idyllic escape for nature lovers, boasting stunning views of the surrounding mountains and river. Direct access to the lagoon allows for safe swimming, and a double kayak is available for use. Hiking trails nearby provide scenic views, and a beach at Walker Bay can be reached via a 40-minute hike or a 15-minute drive with a high clearance vehicle. The cottage is a 100% soler powered and some cloudy days might result in a cosy candlelight dinner by the fire, which ads even more to the charm of being in nature.
Stanford village is 10km away and easily reachable by bicycle or car. The village offers a variety of dining options, wine tasting and a village shop if you need to stock up on supplies.
