Description

Fisherman's Rest is a beautifully renovated, free-standing self-catering holiday home situated on Main Road in the heart of Old Velddrif. This charming fisherman's cottage features vaulted reed ceilings, stylish furnishings, a private garden, and is conveniently located within easy reach of the Berg River and local shops.

The house accommodates up to 6 guests and comprises 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Each bedroom is furnished with a double bed. The bathroom is fitted with a Victorian bath, shower, basin, and toilet. Linen and bath towels are provided.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. The open-plan living area is comfortably furnished and features 2 indoor fireplaces, a TV with DStv, and a dining area.

The living area opens onto a covered patio with a built-in braai, outdoor seating, and a hammock. Guests can also enjoy a wood-fired hot tub, a boma, and a spacious garden with a swing set and trampoline for children. The property is child-friendly and pet-friendly and is enclosed with a 1.2 m picket fence to help keep pets secure. Secure on-site parking is available.

Velddrif is renowned for its excellent fishing and diving opportunities, with more than 35 fish species found in the area. Guests can also explore the unspoilt beaches along the Berg River estuary, which is home to over 220 bird species.
