Description

The Flyers' Lodge was established in Porterville in 1998 when there was only one other guest house and hotel. Situated on the northwest edge of town, the lodge is set well back from the road, creating the impression of being away from town and on a farm, although the village shops are all within walking distance.

Accommodation is provided in a variety of rooms, each furnished with comfortable beds and offering a bathroom fitted with a shower, a toilet, and a basin. The rooms feature a kettle to prepare tea and coffee, a bank of universal mains plugs, and a workstation for guests who require a working space during their stay. Additionally, there is a backup battery system that guarantees uninterrupted access to lighting and free Wi-Fi, even during power outages.

Guests at the lodge enjoy a spectacular view of the farmlands from the restaurant and bar, which is always part of each visitor's memory and presents itself in the photographic history of the lodge's guests' travel albums. A welcome and much-appreciated feature at the lodge, especially in summer, is the large, natural-stone-surrounded swimming pool.
