Footloose Farmstay is a double-storey thatched farmhouse located within the secure gates of the Dinokeng Big 5 Nature Reserve, offering a peaceful bush getaway for up to 16 guests.
The farmhouse features 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and 2 single beds for children. The second, third, and fourth bedrooms each have a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower and toilet. The fifth bedroom also has a king-size bed and 2 single children’s beds, with an en-suite bathroom that includes a bath, shower, and toilet. The sixth bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed. There is an additional bathroom fitted with a bath, shower, and toilet. A separate outdoor ablution area near the pool includes 4 toilets and basins.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes a stove, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, cutlery, and crockery. The living area offers a dining table and comfortable seating. The shaded garden is well-maintained with large, established trees. The braai area is located next to the swimming pool and lapa, and the spacious pool is ideal for relaxing.
Footloose Farmstay is situated on a private game farm within the reserve, and guests do not need to pay conservation or gate fees. Wildlife is often seen grazing near the property, especially at sunset.
The property also features a private grass airstrip, making it suitable for fly-in guests. By prior arrangement, groceries, food, and drinks can be purchased and prepared before arrival at an additional cost. A game viewer vehicle is available at an extra charge to transport guests to nearby restaurants and curio shops during their stay.
An optional 9-hole bush golf experience is available at an additional cost, with clubs and balls provided. This informal course is suitable for all ages and group sizes and includes a refreshment stop at the dam as part of the experience.
