Forest Garden The Sunflower Flat is a semi-detached unit with a private step-free entrance, located on a 2-hectare indigenous property in Kampersrus AH at the foothills of the Drakensberg. The natural forest environment attracts a variety of wildlife, including birds, butterflies, monkeys, bushbuck and red duiker, as well as nocturnal animals such as porcupines, bushbabies and genets.
The flat accommodates 3 guests. The bedroom contains 2 single beds and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. A narrow single bed in the lounge area is available for a third guest. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove and oven, fridge, kettle, cutlery and crockery. The unit is supplied by an off-grid solar power system and has a gas geyser. WiFi is available.
On-site facilities include a balcony with views of the surrounding landscape and an open-air studio where scheduled morning Pilates, Mini CrossFit and Tai-Chi classes are offered. Guided nature walks on the property are available free of charge. Two free-roaming dogs live on the property but are discouraged from entering the guest accommodation.
The property is located near the village of Kampersrus, where guests will find restaurants and shops. Forest and mountain walks are within walking distance, and the surrounding area offers opportunities for nature-based activities within the Drakensberg foothills.
