Ten out of ten, no notes . We could not have asked for a better camping breakaway. This is the place to book if you are looking to reset your nervous system, calm your anxiety, break away from the crazy city hustle. Calmness and serenity all around. The animals are so well cared for and so friendly, they'll have you believing you're a Disney princess Come prepared with treats for them or get them at the store on site. If you're worried about farm animal smells, this place magically has none. We were quite surprised when we realised how close we were to the animals and could not smell them at all. We explored the magical grounds, curated with the most special and whimsical touches, sign boards of positivity, artwork, sculptures and found a favourite spot with the most gorgeous mosaic tiling! We had a breakdown on our way there and our hosts were more than accommodating to our late arrival; I could hear just from the phone call that we were going to experience the kindest hosts ever! The camp sites are pristine and have electricity, the ablutions are neat and very clean with more than enough TP. We stayed at Camp site 6, which was perfect for 2 of us with our camping trailer, but can be a bit of a challenge for a bigger caravan because of the tree in the image, so best to ask ahead which camp site is most suitable for your needs. Seeing the horses run through the campsite at 4:30 pm was our highlight. Definitely a great stay if you are looking for peace and quiet, staying in harmony with nature and animals, and just need to decompress from crazy city life. Also, the view of the mountains at dusk is breathtaking.

I would love to take a trip like that again. It was a nice, quiet place for us to relax. As a couple, we enjoyed the atmosphere because we were disconnected from the city life.

Ticked all the boxes and we had a great stay. The stay was great. The hosts were wonderful, and we really appreciated the small supply shop on the farm — it had all the essentials in case we forgot something. We especially enjoyed the 1.5 km walk from the campsite to the Fynbos Padstal, where Mum and Dad treated themselves to two iced coffees while the boys enjoyed soft-serve ice cream. The ablution blocks near the camping area were very clean and well maintained. There is also a lovely splash pool, perfect for cooling off on hot days. Overall, for the price per night, it was money well spent and we were very happy with our stay. We also noticed there were no mosquitoes, which was a big bonus considering it’s a working farm!
