We really enjoyed it. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at Hare's Rest. Nolene was very friendly and we immediately felt at home. Our room was very neat and the donkeys were so cute. We will definitely go back again.

We had a wonderful stay at Hare's Rest. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality. The lovely rooms were perfect and quaintly decorated, and the donkeys are such an awesome attraction. The weekend in Wakkerstroom itself was lovely, from the Saturday Market and street party that night to the quaint shops, restaurants, and history of the town. We got to meet one of the local artists, Louise Dainty (two of her paintings were in one of the rooms that we stayed in), who had her paintings on display in the town, and we bought two of them. We will recommend Hare's Rest for all who like to visit small towns and love to interact with the locals and learn about the history of the towns.
