Great, peaceful. The most calming stay and a much-needed reset.

Convenient, peaceful, relaxing, simple. Convenient location, great splash pool which you can heat via firewood, lovely bushveld views from the viewing deck. Be aware of self check-in via the link that is shared; assistance was available if you got stuck. Be prepared for mozzies.

Stay was ok. Building needs basic maintenance: * Kitchen sink tap leaks and sprays over counter. * Bathroom basin tap is clogged, minimal flow. * Bathroom wall is crumbling, leaving rubble in basin and on floor. * Doors seal poorly, don't have a proper lock.

Lovely accommodation, but service quality needs improvement. The chalet was charmingly rustic - we were very happy with it. But our stay was marred by: a few maintenance issues (eg doors/bolts ill-fitting and broken chair on roof terrace); patchy Wi-Fi (making contact with Dirk difficult) and unhelpful/contradictory check-in/check-out procedures - Dirk and the website really need to liaise to streamline these to make the guest experience as smooth as possible.

Disappointing. Well, first we arrived, the road to the unit was not very vehicle friendly. It took us 10 hours to heat up the pool, bags and bags of wood later, and still it was cold. The place needs a lot of maintenance. We could not connect to the WiFi, and we had problems with hot water. Every time we wanted to shower, we had to call the maintenance guy. The power went off a lot. I was not very impressed at all.

Could not wait to leave. The place needs help! No WiFi. No hot water.
