Description

Heritage View Birding Retreat is a tranquil nature retreat situated on the banks of Barberspan, an internationally recognised Ramsar wetland in the North West. The peaceful setting offers sweeping views, abundant birdlife, and a relaxed atmosphere ideal for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts.

The retreat offers 2 well-appointed units, each with a private veranda overlooking the natural surroundings. Osprey is a spacious self-catering unit comprising 1 bedroom and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower. The open-plan living area includes a fully equipped kitchen, making it suitable for guests who prefer to prepare their own meals. Fish Eagle comprises 1 bedroom, an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, and a separate study area. This unit offers a coffee station with a kettle, microwave, and fridge, suitable for light meals and refreshments.

Both units feature private verandas with garden views, and a connecting door between the units can be opened to accommodate families or friends travelling together. Complimentary Wi-Fi and secure parking are available on the property.

Heritage View Birding Retreat is located approximately 100 m from the water’s edge and bird hide, where more than 350 bird species have been recorded. The property is easily accessible from Delareyville and Sannieshof along the N14 and serves as a convenient stopover for travellers en route to the Kgalagadi, Namibia, or the West Coast.
