Description
Swellendam and Heidelberg. This off-the-grid farm retreat offers guests a peaceful escape surrounded by open countryside, mountain views, and unspoilt natural beauty. Powered by solar energy and supported by rainwater systems, the cottage provides an authentic country experience while offering the essential comforts for a relaxing stay. The property is ideally located for guests wishing to explore nearby attractions such as Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve, Barrydale, Witsand, and Malgas, or simply enjoy farm walks, bird watching, and mountain biking.
The cottage can accommodate up to 5 guests and comprises 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The first bedroom is furnished with a double bed and a single bed, while the second bedroom is furnished with a double bed. The first bathroom is fitted with a shower, a toilet, and a washbasin, while the second bathroom is fitted with a toilet. Linen and bath towels are provided.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and contains a fridge-freezer, stove, oven, kettle, toaster, and an indoor built-in braai. The cosy lounge features an indoor fireplace and a selection of reading material, creating an inviting space to unwind after a day spent exploring the surrounding countryside.
The outdoor area offers both indoor and outdoor braai facilities, as well as a wood-fired hot tub positioned to make the most of the panoramic mountain and farm views. Secure on-site parking and a private entrance are provided for added convenience. Firewood is prepared prior to arrival, and 2 bags of wood are included with each stay. Additional fireplace wood is available for purchase at R30 per bag. Guests are kindly requested to bring their own drinking water.
